Gas springs, avoid having to place your waste on the ground before you can open the container lid, a gas spring is available as an option (per lid). Once this is fitted, you can push the lid open with your elbow. The lid will continu to open and it will remain open by the gas spring, allowing you to easily throw the waste into the container.
